Job Summary:

This role will suit someone who is looking to develop their career and is keen to progress. Whilst reporting to the Directors, you will ensure that all our construction projects resourced accordingly. You will manage the relationships between the various parties involved in any building or civil engineering project.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Buyer shall:

  • Purchase & Procure Construction materials / equipment
  • Check the Warehouse for potential products that can be used instead of purchasing
  • Check off invoices for accounts
  • Control hire products
  • Liaise with Site Managers, Contracts Manager & QS’s regarding material requirements
  • Liaise with Warehouse Manager – Duties & material / plant deliveries
  • Assist Quantity Surveyors whilst tendering
  • Monitor Cost savings / Increases in costs

Desirable Qualifications / Experience / Personal Attributes

Full driving licence.

Commercially astute.

Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Office Applications (Word/Excel/Outlook).

Good communication skills including presentations and ability to negotiate and persuade others.

Salary and Package to be agreed on experience.
